St Francis by the Lakes Sunday Service

Schedule of Services

Due to COVID-19, the Church and Fellowship Hall were closed, as of March 15, 2020.
We are hoping to open up the church for worship on Sunday, July 5, 2020.  In our plans we have to abide by all the directives of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.  We have to maintain social distancing, wear proper masks, avoid physical contact (especially during the peace), do handwashing, and limit the number of worshippers to 50.

Congregants must pre-register for attending a service on a weekly basis and the following system has been implemented.  You will e-mail to a dedicated e-mail address just for reservations.  This e-mail address is:  stfrancisserviceregister@gmail.com and please use 8 am or 10 am in the subject line.  You must give the name(s) of each person in your family attending and your phone number.  You should receive a reply to acknowledge you are registered.  In the event the service is full you will be informed.  Please be patient as we have no control over the maximum number.  Registration for service should be completed by noon on the Saturday prior to the Sunday so that lists can be present at the church for checking.  Preferably please call Marjorie Saulnier to register for the 8 a.m. service at 902-252-7960.  Alternatively you may call Debbie Sproul to register for the 10 a.m. service at 902-865-6256.  In the event you do not get a reply you may also call Elaine Bishop at 902-864-3634.  (One of these people may be away and she will be the fill in)
For people who still cannot make it to our worship, we will record the 8 am service and upload for sharing at 9 am.
There is a list of things we can do and cannot do as we gather.  Some of these are what we have been used to during our isolation, some are new to our experience.  And again, this is not an ideal situation.  Some circumstances will seem awkward and take some time to adjust and get used to.  But it is a huge step forward, and with some patience and care, we can gather and worship.

It make take some time, but once things get "back to normal", (post COVID-19) our schedule of services should look like this:

July & August - Sunday 09:00 a.m.

The rest of the year is Sunday 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Christmas Eve - 4:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. & 10.00 p.m.

Christmas Day - 10:00 a.m.
